Kanchan has a garden called the pink rose, because of the domination of the colour pink. Her love for pink is very evident through the walls of her house and the attires she wears. This Manchaha describes her wonderland where, Kanchan being the architect, crafted the knots as the strong pillar of a nation building ‘desh’ and ‘gulabi’ pink. When asked about the guest appearance of green and brown at the center and the left end of the rug.

Kanchan is very famous for her cooking skills, especially her ‘kofta’. It has different vegetables stuffed in one little brown ball. Once when Kanchan was washing clothes and one of them slipped in the nearby river, she jumped in and saw a world of blue. This Manchaha takes you to the aquatic life from Kanchan’s sight. Kanchana enjoys the process of rug weaving and has always found her peace in it. She says that something about the process is very soothing to her mind and that staying close to the loom makes her feel alive and happy. She calls the rug “Sukoon” which means comfort, a feeling that she has associated with herself ever since she has learned how to weave.

‘Sapna’ which means dream, is how Kanchan came around to weaving her Manchaha. She says, “The designs I have made are not my inspirations but what I used to sit and think about throughout the night.” She was so engrossed in her thoughts that they even started creeping into her dreams.
