bugali likes to call her rug “prakriti” which means nature. the artisan has always preferred to talk less and observe more, and it is from here where she draws her inspiration from. one day, she peaked through a school notebook of one her cousin’s at home and a sketch of the environment caught her attention. she was instantly in awe and decided to design the same on her rug. bugali has weaved elements like tress, flowers, leaves and mountains on the carpet. patterns of leheriya and jhaalars, along with a river stream are present in bright and bold colours. each object of the rug complements the other design, coming together as one scenic view.
