She has taken inspiration for this rug from Diwali which is the festival of lights celebrated in India. It is one of India's biggest festivals celebrated with family and friends. Sundari has woven door like patterns in the center of the rug which signifies her hospitality. Since, Diwali involves decoration with lights, shopping, fireworks, gifts, sweets etc, each of these elements have been represented on the rug. Santosh Devi’s rug tells a story of her surroundings. Her village is surrounded with distant mountains. She took inspiration from that, and filled her rug with patterns of mountain. She took inspiration from the soil which turns black after burning a land being irrigated for new crops. She made floral patterns, leaves which she sees in her backyard. The design also features ‘Maala’ which her goats wear. It took her 45 days to weave the design.

Sundari weaved a bouquet of flowers on the upper corner of this rug as she loves to collect different colored flowers and place it in her home's vase. The rug has been partitioned into three different parts as it was weaved simultaneously by the three of them. It was the daughters' choice to add their mother's favorite color, blue to the center of the rug. They also weaved a line of leaves and twigs as they love to spend time in the fields with their mother. Sundari's love for nature and her hobby to collect different colored flowers has been communicated in the form of emotions through this rug. 

Sundari has impeccably portrayed her daily interactions with nature in this rug as she has woven the whole process that goes behind harvesting ‘singhara’ or water chestnuts in the river. Not only that, she has also included the bajra she harvests, the flowers and trees she witnesses every day on the way to the fields, and more. To break the monotony, she has included designs from her home, the beautiful festoon and lights during festivals.
