The Design Story
rasta khojoRasta KhojoGuddi, Suman, and Sonia are our master weavers, having created over 15 Manchahas. Over the years, they have developed a clear style of working with lines and neutral colours. They enjoy structure. They enjoy control. And they enjoy making simple colours do complex things. In this Manchaha, they have carried that design forward. From the outer edge, the patterns begin to move inward. Sharp angles turn into diamonds. Lines stretch, break, and begin again. Some paths feel direct. Some suddenly shift direction. The eye keeps travelling, searching for an exit. While weaving this, they were reminded of the “Find the Way Out” puzzles they played as children in school. They laughed about how seriously they used to take those games, tracing routes with their fingers, refusing to give up until they found the right path. This rug carries that same feeling of focus, patience, and a little bit of fun. This Manchaha invites you to look, to trace, and to find your own way through it. This is why they named the Manchaha “Rasta Khojo,” meaning “Find the Path.”
