Winners 2012 Carpet Design Awards 2012: Carpets that enthral!

The winners of the Carpet Design Award 2012 have been chosen. On Sunday, 15 January, 30 carpet designers from various countries received the prestigious design award at DOMOTEX. The exciting designs displayed at the leading trade fair for carpets and floor coverings impressed visitors from the trade and other professionals. In fact, the entire event offers an abundance of ideas and information, highlighting the patterns, colours and materials that will dominate in the season ahead.
As part of the Domotex fair in Hannover yesterday, the "Carpet Design Awards 2012" were awarded. The ten winners sat through it against a great competitor. For a total of 211 carpets from 26 countries were submitted for the competition.
At the awards directed their attention to the international jury of design, material quality, product design and innovation. New this year was the "Best Design Studio Artists carpets", sat down in the "Prisons" by Chevalier Edition at the top. In the category "Best Modern Design Superior" scored "Ruby Room" of Jaipur Rugs, and "Best Modern Design Deluxe" model "Reflection Sky" by Wool and Silk Rugs. The award for "Best Traditional Nomadic Design Superior" went to "Haleemi" by Ali Mohammadi, for "Best Traditional Nomadic Design Deluxe" in "Noor" by Werner Weber of Zurich and for "Best Traditional Workshop / Formal Design" at "Cypress" by the Zollanvari AG. In the "Best Old / Antique Carpet" sat down "Tekke Main Carpet" by Foumani of Persian Gallery, received during the "Jazz Collection" Nexus Rugs by this award for the best modern collection. Winners in the category "Best Traditional Collection" is "The Spanish Design Collection" by Ariana Rugs Inc. won as the best innovation beyond "Tagged" by Jan Kath Design.
