Sugna is 24years old and has been weaving rugs from past two years. But her skills are way beyond her experience. She loves her daughter the most hence, requested the rug to be known by her name, Palak. She enjoys her time at the loom and loves the concept of Manchaha, it makes her feel independent and free, she says.
Palak“I learnt about 3D design from a training session that was held at our village. With this Manchaha, I experimented and tried weaving the same on my rug,” explains Sugna. A beautiful portrait of 3D cubical boxes and colorful pattern of traditional Kalash brings out a captivating symphony between modern designs and traditional patterns.
