Indra is 28 years old weaver from Dhanota village of Rajasthan. She is a mother of two girls and one boy. “My children love me a lot. Whenever I get confused or am lost, they sit beside me to suggest which design should I weave next”, she says in a deep emotional voice. Hara Bhara Galicha “It was my first Manchaha and I was scared to even start, but my branch manager always motivated me and that kept me going. I am happy that the result has come out to be satisfactory”, says Indra the proud weaver of the rug, Hara Bhara Galicha or the lush green rug. She weaved everything that reminded her of childhood and the time that she spent in her village with fish, lotus, trees and huts. She further explained that she also weaved betel leaves in her rug because they are considered auspicious. She adorned them with beautiful candles and Rangoli designs to ensure that good vibes travel till the house of the customer.
