GudiaFull of playful vibes and a fire, the rug Gudia or doll is a depiction of the agony and anxiety that was going inside Nirmala’s heart. “Before starting this rug, I went through a major setback, my daughter who was six years old died due to heart failure. I then start to weave this rug. I don’t know what did I weave but certainly, weaving kept me going and helped me to come out of the pain”, explains Nirmala with a lump in her throat. She painted her state of mind with various colors which helped her in letting go off the tragic incident.
