Santosh from Dhanota, Rajasthan is a 35 years old weaver who is driven by creativity and curiosity. During her childhood, she learnt weaving rugs from her uncle but, her parents wanted her to focus on studies. However, that loom at her uncle’s house always caught her heart and attention. Her journey with the loom started again after her marriage and it’s been 5 years since she has been weaving. She is a proud mother of two girls and one boy, all of them are school goers and she wishes to see them working at a big company someday.
Jungle Ka Rasta The rug ‘Jungle Ka Rasta’ or ‘The way to Jungle’ brought out the traveler inside Santosh and motivated her to weave her dream into a rug. “When I was a child, my mother used to narrate me jungle stories. Unfortunately, I never got to step outside the village and explore the real-life jungle. I weaved this rug based on those stories, I made trees, their shadows, deer and an elephant. I hope whoever buys this rug, gets to travel a lot.”
