She places a huge emphasis on education for her daughters and has set an example of how a woman in rural India can create beauty by seizing the opportunity and working hard.
Neela NazaraLaxmi wanted to make something that is truly special and unique. Using her imagination, memories of things she’s seen and weaved in her past, and things that are a part of her home and life now, she created this rug with utmost love and care. Throughout the years of her knotting rugs, a few things constantly whirred in her mind. Flowers, stripes, mountains, and rangoli designs play a leading role in the carpet. She suggested the rug to be named, Neela Nazara which means the blue view because she totally loves the color and wanted to embrace the same into her rug.
