Hansa is a talented weaver turned designer from the small village of Fatehpura in Rajasthan. She is a mother of two children, both are girls and she aspires to make them teachers someday. Hansa is 27 years old and has been weaving rugs from past 7 years. She enjoys weaving Manchaha and takes pride in her works of art.
Dilpari“We spend most of our time near the mountains, so I weaved my favorite mountain into my rug,” explains Hansa the proud weaver of the rug, Parvat which means Mountain in English. The rug is a creative take on nature’s beauty and elegance. While explaining about the rug, Hansa was full of joys and excitement and she went on to narrating that the little plants and flowers that are woven on the rug are natural minerals and medicines that help in curing diseases. “I gave my heart and life in making this rug, I hope whoever purchases it, keeps it with the same amount of care and love”, she says with a smile.
