Sunita is a 32-year-old weaver from Para, Rajasthan. She is the sole breadwinner of her house and single-handedly takes care of three children as her husband passed away around 10 years ago. Since he passed while she was still a young bride, she was asked to return to her maternal home, but decided to stay as she loved her husband dearly and believes her commitment to him is for the rest of her life. She is happily sustaining her family and over time she has developed the courage to tackle any situation. When it comes to weaving, initially she was scared to weave because she was worried that even if one knot goes wrong then she will have to pull off all the threads and start from scratch. However, she got the hang of it and can now tie knots of different colours with ease.
Selfie wali ChadheeSelfie wali Chadhee which translates to a selfie stick is how Sunita describes her rug as she is extremely passionate about clicking selfies. In the middle of the rug, you will notice a tall brown and yellow coloured selfie stick which she desires to own as she has seen many young people using it while she only has her phone to click pictures. Every now and then, she keeps clicking selfies with anything new or blue, being her favourite. Therefore, she has even woven the background of the rug in blue. Sunita even tried including a lot of elements with which she has clicked selfies like plants, flowers and earthen pots into her Manchaha.
