Residing in a family of 6 people with 1 goat, Dhafali’s life revolves around weaving and being a homemaker. A true preserver of weaving art, the entire family knows how to weave. Though, uneducated herself Dhafali has ensured good education for all her 3 children and proudly shared that the best moment of her life was when her eldest son became a teacher in a Government school.
Rangeela PankhaA sweet, shy person that dwells on exploring her trail of thought, Dhafali started off this rug not knowing where it’ll take her. She began by dreaming of the mountains, imagining what it would look like, and added to it the beauty of the sky. The long stripes and multicolour pattern across the rug are filled with all the little thoughts that go through her day, almost like a rainbow of emotion. Since Dhafali believed in being happy, that’s what is in the name. Rangeela pankha, which means colourful handfan, is a very simple expression of her joy.
