Vidya is 45-years-old and lives in Kekri. She was weaving for the past 10 to 15 years but now sells bridal bangles. She is a mother of 6 kids. Her husband, who taught her to weave, works as a daily wage earner in the village.
BadlaavBadlaav means ‘transformation’ is how Vidya describes her rug. In her last Manchaha, she made zig-zag lines which started from nothingness and eventually grew into something bigger. The analogy she uses is, “Just as small streams traversing distances pour themselves to form a huge river and find their existence, similarly it happens with things in life.”
