Mera ShakkarparaBefore she got married, Manisha used to design sarees. She was particularly fond of the ‘Leheriya’ pattern, and when she got an opportunity to design her own rug, she chose to replicate a similar pattern. In the top left corner, she has also knotted her house and her surroundings consisting flowers, plants, and a gate. While weaving the rug, she got ill. She resumed the work after a break, and completed it in a time of one month. Proud of her creation, she wrote her name in the center in Hindi. The design also showcases Shakkarpara snack, which is her favorite. She calls her rug ‘Mera Shakkarpara’ meaning ‘My Shakkarpara’.
