MausamThrough this rug, Hemant has tried to depict the seasons of the year, each season with its distinct natural beauty and charm. In the lower part of the rug, he has woven an olive colored abstract pattern of leaves, depicting the autumn season. Above this pattern, he has used a shade of bright crimson signifying the cherry-toned flowers that bloom in the spring season. The white blots over the topmost part have been woven to portray the winter season. The deep blue backdrop of these abstract patterns represents the limitless blue sky. Named, “Mausam”, this rug is Hemant’s take on the distinctness of each season.
