Rangeelo BargadThe rug ‘Rangeelo Bargad’ meaning colorful banyan tree, is inspired by the tropical forest and its surroundings. The weaver, Shravani, started her first Artisan Original rug by visualizing the scenario of a dense forest with designs of small plants and mushroom vegetation. She then proceeded to make her version of colorful Bargad tree (known as Banyan tree) and ongoing rains in the forest. She says, “It was my first attempt to put my imagination in weaving the rug. I was wondering what to weave, and I picked up the dense forest with the rains on.” She was excited to share the names of small plants which she observed in her surroundings.
