Bimla is a 40 years-old weaver from Harmada, Rajasthan. She learnt weaving at a training program conducted by an organisation and has been with the Jaipur Rugs family for 12 years. She is a mother to two sons and one daughter. Bimla is a very concentrated and dedicated weaver and denies talking while working. Her work is extremely sound and puts a lot of effort into knotting each thread. As a person, she is very helpful and will always encourage other weavers to experiment with their work and do better. This is her first Manchaha.
NehaBimla says that she wanted to make her first Manchaha out of only love and affection and not highly technical designs and a lot of fuss. Named after her daughter, the rug is a personification of the love and care she has for her only daughter whom she is extremely attached to. The rug is woven in hues of pink and red as they are favourite colours. The bright hues of orange and green are how she sees Neha’s presence in the house- brightening everything up with a lot of joy and happiness.
