Hansa is a 40 year old weaver from Narhet, Rajasthan and she is known as the change maker of her village. She earned this reputation for learning the art of weaving from her husband after marriage, to help support him make more income for the family. Starting as a helping hand of her husband and now an excellent artisan with 20 years of experience, she takes each carpet step by step and allows the knots to flow from her hand. She has immense affection for her 3 children, and recently started sharing the art of weaving with her eldest daughter.
DolphinIn Narhet, Hansa is accustomed to the small river and many ponds she walks by every day. But it always brings a smile to her face as it keeps reminding her of a rare sight she got to see. She got to see 2 fish jump in tandem and the sight was so beautiful but it fell on deaf ears to her friends. This Manchaha is to capture that moment in time because she knows, if not her friends, everyone looking at the carpet will know the story. She added a little drama to her carpet and says, “Add a little Manchaha innocence at your place, let Dolphin find its space”.
