Santosh from Dhanota, Rajasthan is a 35 years old weaver who is driven by creativity and curiosity. During her childhood, she learnt weaving rugs from her uncle but, her parents wanted her to focus on studies. However, that loom at her uncle’s house always caught her heart and attention. Her journey with the loom started again after her marriage and it’s been 5 years since she has been weaving. She is a proud mother of two girls and one boy, all of them are school goers and she wishes to see them working at a big company someday.
JanjeeraSantosh utilizes her rug as a canvas to paint her imaginations and creativity. She weaved the local “janjeera” pattern, various flowers and made this rug a true delight. “I don’t have an in-depth knowledge about the design trends, all I knew was a simple fact that the design should look good” says Snatosh after finishing her second Manchaha.
