Pushpa is a very diligent artisan from the village of Kekri in Rajasthan. She is 35 years old and is a mother of two boys and one girl; all of them are school-goers. She learned the art of weaving rugs from her uncle in the village and since then her love for design flourished. She doesn't talk much and is shy but she definitely takes pride in her work and supports her family by doing all that she can.
Pushpa Ke PushpThe rug Pushpa Ke Push or the flowers of Pushpa is a creative reflection of the imagination of our artisan in the village. She started by weaving stripes for leheriya pattern and then went on to weave the garden of her dreams. I weaved flowers and patterns that I would garden in my house someday, says Pushpa with a shy smile.
