PadamThis rug is inspired by Anita's favorite place of the village, the lotus pond. Ever since she was a child, Anita loved to collect leaves and flowers and she made sure to portray them all in this rug. She weaved a lotus on the lower corner of the rug as the lotus is her favorite flower and the most beautiful part of the pond, according to her. She remembered how the pond is covered with a canopy of greenery and yellow flowers, and that inspired her to weave a lot of trees and multicolored flowers on the border of the rug. The green patches in the center of the rug are inspired by the huge leaves that float on the lake beside the pink lotuses and make it look like a green wonderland. This rug embodies Anita's passion to be around nature and how she finds her happiness amidst it.
