Kamlesh is a 46 years old inmate from a small village of Bihar. “After my imprisonment, rug weaving is the only thing that I enjoyed so much,” he says with sheer joys and excitement. He has two sons in his village whom he misses a lot but rug weaving keeps him busy and distracted. He is an ardent believer of hard-work and have faith in the fact that though the times are hard but soon, it will pass.
Jail Ki JanjeereThe hands that once reaped farms in village were now helpless behind the bars. But, Kamlesh never wanted to feel that helpless hence, to overcome his depression, he started learning the art of rug weaving inside the prison and decided to restart a new journey full of hopes, life and positivity. The rug, Jail Ki Janjeere or the bars of prison depicts the hardship that Kamlesh is going through, he weaved bars of prison ahead of which he also weaved his farm where he aspires to go once again. Out of everything else, he misses his farm the most, where he spent most of his time in the village.
