Ramu is 33 years old and has been weaving rugs for the past 4 months. He is a father of two sons and hails from a small village of Bikaner. He has been sentenced to life-time imprisonment and he hopes to soon shift from central jail to open jail. He enjoys spending time on his loom because that sets him free from all the worries and acts as a form of meditation.
Sitaaro Ki Mehfill“I miss those days when I gazed stars for hours while resting peacefully at the terrace of my house. I weaved the same into my rug,” says Ramu. He suggested the rug to be named as Sitaaro Ki Mehfil or the congregation of stars because that is what inspired him to weave this lovely piece of art. Not just the stars, he also went on to weave shooting stars at the center of his rug. The rug truly defines congregation of stars.
