‘Baarish’ which means rain, is almost like a piece of art by Amar Pal that visualizes the look of rain while in prison. The first half in red is woven to represent a fence with haziness in the background, while the diamond dots and changing pattern going up indicate rain and storm clouds. For a design palate so simple when it comes to the art of weaving, its representation comes together almost magically to show the depth in his style of thinking. “What I experienced is what I weave, and my work can be a window to a life that not many get to see”, he shares with a peaceful smile.
