In the hot summers, Santosh uses ‘Matka’, which means clay pots, to keep the water cold, but her youngest child in the house loves playing with the pots and eventually ends up breaking it. Overwhelmed by this continuous incident and wanting to find a solution, she decided to distract the child by weaving pots on the carpet. This step gave her peace and created a unique effect to the carpet, after using multiple patterns and colors. She still believes her Matka will keep the home cool through the year and be a wonderful addition to look after young children without any mild frustrations.
