The Design Story
paani ki dhaaraPaani Ki DhaaraPaani Ki Dhaara is created by Pradeep while he was serving time at Dausa Jail. Before his incarceration, Pradeep worked as a truck driver and traveled all over the country. His favorite destination was Jammu and Kashmir, where he was captivated by the breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, flowing rivers, and small fountains that emerged from the mountaintops. When Pradeep received the shiny golden silk yarns to weave his manchaha rug, he was reminded of the scenic beauty he had witnessed during his travels. He handcrafted the sparkling snow of the mountains and the water fountain that ran from the top using his hand-knotting technique. Weaving brings him joy as he relives his memories and cherishes them over his loom while making this beautiful hand-knotted silk rug, which he named "Paani Ki Dhaara," meaning "Stream of Water."
