Sawan Ki Yaad
Sawan Ki Yaad is a beautiful hand-knotted rug created by Kamli, Mintu, and Aarti, depicting the rainy season and its associated rituals in the villages. They began weaving this manchaha during the Sawan season, known as the rainy season. They set up their loom under the open sky and watched the clouds fly by as they wove together, capturing the moving clouds in their rug through their hand-knotting technique. Sawan is an auspicious and happening season for the villagers, as many festivals occur during that time of the year. Women wear beautiful leheriya and bandhej sarees, and likewise, while weaving the carpet, they would come wearing beautiful sarees, with the bandhej and lehriya patterns finding their place on the rug. They named their rug "Savan Ki Yaad" (Memories of Sawan).
