The Design Story
samay ki dorSamay ki DorBeing locked in jail, Pradeep always waited for the time to pass soon so that he could be free and reunite with his family. That is when the concept of an hourglass came to his mind. Inspired by a three-tiered hourglass, Pradeep wove this Manchaha called, “Samay ki Dor,” which translates to “The String of Time.” He weaved a diamond between two triangles to create a look of an hourglass. Inside it, he wove different patterns and motifs like flowers to represent the sand and time. He has also cleverly played with colors outside the hourglass to showcase the beauty of life outside the jail. With this Manchaha, Pradeep passes a relatable message that when things are tough, time feels like it's moving very slowly. But when we're happy, time flies by quickly. He asks everyone to make the most of this fleeting time and spend as much of it with family as they can.
