PhooldaanWoven by a mother, Sundari Devi and her two daughters, Pooja and Kavita, the inspiration behind this rug were the colorful patterns and prints that Kavita and Pooja come across every day. Sundari weaved a bouquet of flowers on the upper corner of this rug as she loves to collect different colored flowers and place it in her home's vase. The rug has been partitioned into three different parts as it was weaved simultaneously by the three of them. Both the girls love to wear clothes which have bright prints and abstract patterns and they incorporated the same in the rug as asymmetrical lines and zigzag patterns. It was the daughters' choice to add their mother's favorite color, blue to the center of the rug. They also weaved a line of leaves and twigs as they love to spend time in the fields with their mother. Sundari's love for nature and her hobby to collect different colored flowers has been communicated in the form of emotions through this rug.
