SeedhiThe design of this rug was inspired by the colorful staircases that are present in the weaver's village. Pink and Red happen to be the weaver's favorite color and she has painted the stairs of her own home in the same colors. The little square blocks on the design of the rug are an ode to the tiny woven beds (Khaats) that the villagers' place in their Verandahs in the winter season to soak up the sunshine. The color scheme of this rug has been inspired by the colors that the women of the village mostly use to draw a Rangoli outside their homes.
