KufriSuman Devi, a happy weaver living in the tiny village of Aaspura has been weaving since the last 8 years. After she earned an income for the first rug that she had woven, her husband gifted her a little diary which had a beautiful picture of snow clad mountains on it. She was amazed to see how beautiful that picture looked and it inspired her to visualize the design of this rug. She weaved white flowers on one part of the rug to show flowers covered in snow. She also wove triangular stripes on the right side of the rug, to show layers of snow falling on land. While she filled one side of the rug with colorful designs, she filled the other side of the rug with tiny murals which resemble snowflakes. She named the Rug, "Kufri" since it is the name of the snow clad place where the picture on the diary was taken.
