KUDRATThe design of the rug is an amalgam of various elements present in the natural surroundings of the weavers. The rug has been designed and woven by two weavers together who happen to be family members. The ladies used to engage in long conversations to decide the patterns which must go on the rug. As their conversations became more design oriented, the patterns kept emerging. They completed the rug in mere 25 days since they were passionately involved in weaving. The color scheme of the rug has been inspired by the mountains and the rivers. The rug has wavy motifs that represent the flow of the rivers. The square shaped structures represent “tokri” (basket), and the rectangular patterns represent patterns formed by bricks on a wall.
