The Design Story
gudde gudiyo ka khelGudde Gudiyo Ka KhelGudde Gudiyo Ka Khel (Game of Prince and Princess) is a game that represents the playfulness and innocence of childhood hand-knotted into the intricate threads of this manchaha. Every element in this Manchaha connects the weavers to their childhood, home, and relationships. They created a comforting space for themselves where they could live happily. Gudda and Gudiya live in a vibrant and lively village with goats. Gudiya has hand-crafted many saplings of flowers that spread a mesmerizing essence around their home and maintain a pleasant aura using wool and silk yarns. There is a lot of vegetation behind the houses as some of the weavers belong to farmer families. Gudiya's neighbor has even spread some spices on the sarees for drying and the clothes are hanging on the wall. Her neighbor also has a kid whose toys are spread all over the place. This Khel of Gudde and Gudiya is still popular in villages and played by children with their dolls which our weavers want to share with the world through their hand-knotted rug . Every Gudiya dreams of marrying a Gudda and creating their very own happy and lovely space, fulfilling their dreams together. In the journey of life, if you want to go far, go together because two hearts and heads are better than one.
