The Design Story
roshni ki dishaRoshni Ki DishaWeaved during the festival of lights - Diwali, Neetu’s manchaha carpet shines as brightly as the flame of her small oil lamp with which she decorated her entire house as well as her rug. At the bottom of her manchaha, she has woven small diyas using the hand-knotting technique and the vibrant colors with which she decorated her house. Moving upward, Neetu sought inspiration from her house doormat and weaved designs inspired by them. Moving upwards, she has woven crackers on the left-hand side of her manchaha. Expressing her love for her family, she also weaved patterns resembling her daughter and husband, aspiring for the three of them to always stay together happy and healthy.
