The Design Story

Rang-Raj
The Manchaha carpet created by Laccha displays a vibrant dance of colors all over. Weaving this carpet was a fun experience for Laccha as she eagerly anticipated seeing these bright colors come to life. She imagined the colors reminiscent of a village fair, complete with rides, food stalls, and colorful flags that added excitement and laughter to the atmosphere. She happily continued weaving the designs of her village fair until she was interrupted by the arrival of peacocks in her home, a regular occurrence for Laccha. As she watched the peacocks, she admired the many colors on their feathers, realizing that the bird truly was a "king of colors." She incorporated the bird's image into her carpet using the hand-knotting technique, creating a kingdom for the majestic bird, and named her creation "Rang-Raj" (Color Kingdom).
