The Design Story
mann ke raasteMann Ke RaasteAt first, Neetu, Aaarti, and Subhashini were hesitant. However, they worked up the courage to begin creating the motifs for their carpet design using the old designer carpet maps. As they refined the motifs, their confidence grew. They then began weaving the patterns and designs into the benna (hand fan). The texture of the khat and fabrics, which were drying under the sun in front of them, also inspired them. These daily activities allowed their creativity to flow, which ultimately manifested in their carpet. They named it "Mann ke Raste" (Ways of the Heart) because, when they looked at it as a whole, it resembled the road of their heart. There were no boundaries, and they were able to weave different motifs together based on their individual creativity
