The Design Story
rangon bhari zindagiRangon Bhari ZindagiThis rug represents a happy and peaceful village life. It is made by Hariram and Shanti Devi, a husband and wife who always weave together. The soft pink color of the rug is like the evening sky, and the entire day’s vibrancy is woven like a memory. The surface is decorated with bright patterns and joyful symbols. Flowers, birds, butterflies, and playful shapes are scattered throughout the design. Each one reminds the weavers of things they see around them, like their garden, fields, festive clothes, and home decorations in the village. Some patterns look like kites, some like blooming plants, and others like the edges of embroidered fabrics. Hariram and Shanti Devi have created something light, loving, and full of life. This rug offers a glimpse into a world where simplicity, nature, and togetherness bring happiness. They named this hand-knotted piece “Rangon Bhari Zindagi,” which means “Colour-filled Life.”
