The Design Story
baheta mannBaheta MannFrom the mountains, rivers are born. They move slowly at first, laughing softly as they find their way. Passing through villages and cities, skirting roads and forests, they carry life to everyone they touch. This movement became the inspiration for Bhagchand and Parvati, a husband-wife duo who weave side by side. At the bottom of the rug, they wove an aerial view of the village - clusters of homes, narrow paths, turns taken every day. As your eye travels from the top of the carpet downward, the patterns begin to flow. Waves appear, dissolve, and reappear like water changing its pace. The rug does not describe one place alone; it holds many journeys at once. A landscape shaped by water, work, and shared lives. After the completion, they named this rug “Baheta Mann,” which means “Flowing Mind”, indicating how their mind flowed like water from one idea to another to bring this carpet to life.
