The Design Story
masakaliMasakaliKamli and Manisha’s Manchaha “ Masakali” represents their love for their favorite Bollywood song, “Masakali,” where they witnessed a scene of a group of pigeons flocking together. Seeking inspiration from the same, they have hand-crafted a range of flying pigeons. Manisha, on the other hand, is very fond of pottery and recalls how her father makes hand-made mud pots. Showcasing her tribute to her father's hard work, Manisha has woven six mud pots for storing water using wool and silk yarns. She narrates that her father is her biggest motivation as she watches him spin his wheels with utter dedication and focus. At the top of her rug, Kamli has handcrafted crops from her farms that are ready to be harvested. Kamli and Manisha’s Mancaha beautifully captures their likings for daily things and surroundings
