The Design Story
man ki leherMan Ki Leher"Man Ki Leher" represents the inner turmoil experienced by every individual in jail. This art piece is a beautiful combination of happy memories from the past, which serve as an escape from the chaos of thoughts and the burning waiting time. It tells the stories of the lush green fields of Pali's village, the beautiful Himachal mountains that Ranpal treasures, and the love that Narendra had for his wife in the form of her sari. The zigzag lines in the hand-knotted carpet woven in wool and silk yarns connect the three weavers, as they believe that everybody goes through times of downfall and pinnacle in their lives. Although it may be a time of downfall right now, they firmly believe that a time of pinnacle will soon arrive, maybe through weaving, but it will definitely happen. As the saying goes, nothing lasts forever, and neither will our dark times.
