The Design Story
pasandidaPasandidaYaad Ram and Beerbal wove a very unique-looking manchaha that reflected their individual perspectives on the world. On the left side, Yaad Ram incorporated his favorite outdoor elements such as landscapes and mountains, and he even included a resin tree that he loves. On the other hand, Beerbal wove items that reminded him of home, such as chairs, tables, and a cradle swing for a little one. He also included trees that were near his home. This illustrates how both weavers had different desires that they expressed through their weaving."Pasandida," is also fitting as it represents the idea that each person's favourite things are unique and personal.The story of Yaad Ram and Beerbal weaving a carpet with their different perspectives highlights the uniqueness of every individual's worldview. Each person sees the world through their own lens, shaped by their experiences, desires, and values. Despite their differences, Yaad Ram and Beerbal came together to weave a river in the middle of the carpet, symbolizing their shared journey through time.
