The Design Story
mithai ke pieceMithai ke piecePoonam has a sweet tooth and loves sweet dishes and desserts. One day, a carpet arrived at her doorstep. It was an incomplete Manchaha that had been started by another weaver but never finished due to various reasons. With an innocent mindset, Poonam and Sushila continued with the same design initiated by the old weaver. They added some derivatives of the old motifs and then remembered the concept of Manchaha, which encourages weavers to weave as per their heart's desires. Poonam's husband works in a sweet factory and sometimes brings home mawa barfi, which she loves. As both of them were fond of this sweet, they decided to create patterns and designs that reflected their love and joy. They named this beautiful Manchaha "Mithai ke piece".
