The Design Story
jyotiJyoti"Mera galeecha jis bhi ghar mai jayega, waha umeed ki nai kirine bikherega" (My carpet will radiate new rays of hope in whichever home it goes) - Pinki Devi Weaved during the days of festivities, Pinki's Manchaha "Jyoti" (Light) is her beautiful artwork that radiates hope and positivity in one's life. Throughout her Manchaha she has woven patterns inspired by the flames of a mud lamp which is used to decorate the houses during the festival of Diwali. Pinky narrates how the rays of her lamps will light up her entire village with happiness and prosperity naming her Manchaha as "Jyoti". She has also woven patterns inspired by her sarees and rangolies as she they gear themselves for the upcoming festivity.
