The Design Story
til ke ladduTil ke LadduFestivals are a wonderful time to enjoy with family. This rug, crafted during the famous Makarsankranti kite festival, is adorned with festive patterns. The skilled weavers have included various types of flowers, bringing a blooming effect to the carpet. They have also created traditional 'toran' (door hangings) for decorative purposes. Additionally, the weavers drew inspiration from the classic 'leheriya' wavy design. During their work, the weavers often discussed recipes for different sweets, including the famous "Til Ke Laddu" (Sesame Laddus), which ultimately inspired the name of the rug. They shared that their loom was filled with laughter and occasional friendly banter. Each weaver worked on their section, allowing their creativity to shine individually. With such a festive spirit, the artisans hope this rug will bring joy and a celebratory atmosphere to the homes of those who purchase it.
