doongar ke upar doongarDoongar ke Upar DoongarIn their village, embraced by mountains and rivers, Saroj and her sister Kavita discover inspiration. Their latest creative venture began with the sight of mountains overlapping. During one of their village strolls, a captivating sunset painted the mountains with golden light, etching a lasting image in their minds. To capture this natural beauty, they translated the scene onto their loom using their wool and silk yarns, intricately weaving layers of mountains, locally known as "Doongar." The result is their masterpiece aptly titled "Doongar ke Upar Doongar" (Mountain on top of another Mountain). Through their hand-knotting technique, they transformed a fleeting image into a timeless woven masterpiece, preserving the essence of nature's enchanting display.
