The Design Story
sitaraSitaraMeena named her Manchaha “Sitara” (Star) after the small, recurring stars that quietly light her world. These stars appear everywhere in her life—on her clothes, on her utensils, in the tiles of her home, in the sweets she prepares for her children, and in the jewellery she wears. The carpet flows in horizontal stripes, woven with repeating motifs—arrows, zigzags, crosses, and diamond forms—that move forward and backward like passing thoughts. Between these rhythms, subtle star-like patterns emerge, steady and familiar.
