The Design Story
badi patangBadi PatangImmersed in the mesmerizing allure of kites, Mahendra Kumar, a weaver artist from Jaipur Central Jail, embarked on a creative journey to bring forth his masterpiece, "Badi Patang." Though he had never experienced the sheer thrill of flying a kite himself, his innate ability to weave the essence of kite-flying into his work was awe-inspiring. Going beyond personal encounters, his vision was to capture the pure joy of kite-flying through his artistic prowess. Each kite that took shape became a testament to his boundless creativity and meticulous craftsmanship. Adorned with intricate patterns the kites harmoniously blended traditional motifs with contemporary aesthetics. The resulting masterpiece portrayed a vibrant, rainbow-streaked sky where kites of various shapes and sizes danced gracefully, mirroring the kaleidoscope of human emotions and desires.
