The Design Story
mera mann pasand baazMera Mann Pasand BaazGeeta, the creator of this manchaha, has filled her art piece with her beautiful surroundings creating an intricate hand-knotted wool and silk rug. She weaves fields, the winding paths of the mountains, the wildflowers. Geeta combined all that surrounded her home. Normally, Geeta doesn't depict literal objects on her rug, but this time was special. Geeta was looking for inspiration on the outside, and one day, she saw a hawk in the sky. The sight of its outstretched wings left her in awe. Captivated by its grace, Geeta forever imprinted this symbol of freedom onto her rug using her hand-knotting techniques at its best. The hawk became the star of her creation, earning the name "Mera Mann Pasand Baaz" (My Favorite Hawk).
