The Design Story
rahasyaRahasyaThis Manchaha is a rug of untold stories of a land unknown to the world. The ladies weaved a well-kept secret into the threads of the yarns. Their secret is just an imaginary land hidden under the waves of “Lehereiya” (wavy) motifs. They even incorporated a house under the water, surrounded by Banyan trees. On the waves, floats the motifs of round-shaped boats. Adding up to this scenic beauty, a mountain stands at the center. Well, though now exhibited on this hand-knotted rug, the weavers called this a “Rehesya” (secret)
